Easy

Kelly started something new today in her journal.  :)

EASY -- like Sunday morning!

Here's my question of the week.  Answer it in your journal and come back here and leave me a link in the comments.  I'll post your links on Saturday and we'll start over again next week :-)

Tell me......

"Where are you from?  And how did you get there?"  (Only as much as you feel comfortable sharing on the internet of course!)

I have two home towns; two cities I am from.  I was born in and spent the better part of my first 15 years in Los Angeles, California.  When my mother divorced my step-father, she returned to her home town in Clarkston, Washington, with me and my two younger sisters in tow.  For me, it was a homecoming of sorts, as I had lived in Clarkston with my mother and my father many years before, during my second year of life.

Yes, I have bounced between these two cities, several times in my life.  Always because of my mother.  While I have spent the majority of my life in a small town, I will always consider Los Angeles my home town as well.  It's true, you can take the girl out of the big city, but you can't take the big city out of the girl.

Honestly, I can't even begin to imagine living someplace as monstrous as LA - I know it's all in the perspective, but ugh..... I don't think I could get used to it!

Hey Marc!  While I can't remember all the early places, I lived mostly in the Valley (yep, I was a Valley girl before there was such a thing).   I do remember living in North Hollywood, and Sepulveda (now North Hills).  I attended school in Sepulveda and Northridge, and rode my bike almost every Saturday to Woodland Hills to go horseback riding.  My older sister still lives in the Valley, in Chatsworth.

Sassy!  Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!

Kare Bear!  There must be many people whose hearts live in two home towns.

Kelly!  LOL, well for me it was part of my life.  Was talking to my sister Chris the other day (she's in Georgia).  After mom's death, Chris lived with her father in Huntington Beach for eight years before returning to Idaho to live with me.  She went back a few years ago, and I'll just say she prefers living in Georgia over LA.

Dona,
I was born and raised a Jersey girl...lived there till I was 31.  Finally with enough $$ for a downpayment on a home, we moved to New York but just over the border of NJ.  You get more for your $$ up here; bigger house, more land and lower taxes on your home.  Too bad the gas prices are higher.  But we love it just the same; we only about 1 1/2 hrs from the Jersey beaches.  Thanks for asking..Diane

I'm from a small town called Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, UK.  Growing up there was wonderful.  If I could, I would move back there in a moment!

I was born in Daytona Beach, FL.  We traveled a lot so I have been to or through almost every state. We drove mostly.  My dad got transfered almost every two years.  He works for K-mart as a manager and they always sent him to get new stores up and running.  I didnot have many friends because we always moved.  No biggy though.  I grew up well.  Lots of Love, Nicki
