Better Living Through Chemistry

Went to the doc this morning; follow-up visit for a nagging shoulder.  Told the doc about the dark cloud that's been hanging around me.  Question and answer begins, followed by a serious discussion.  I walk out with medication.

Why didn't I do that sooner?

I went to the doctor and she told me I was suffering from depression! I didn't realize that I was depressed but she said that sometimes the level of seritonin (?) in the brain is not what it should be and that will cause depression! She put me on Lexapro and I feel LOTS better! I don't know if that is what you are suffering from or not but it seemed like I had a dark cloud hanging over me too! Take the medication! It's amazing how great you will start to feel! Hang in there! http://journals.aol.com/shayshaydc/Golfaholic

Good for you:)

Make sure to give it time to get into your system.
Sometimes up to a month. (I should know)

Happy Thanksgiving!

COMMENT ABOUT THE SHOULDER PAIN:  a friend just went in for tests for shoulder pain ... the doctor has ordered IMMEDIATE series of tests for lung cancer!  A spot on her lung showed up on the x-rays & CATscan.  Time is crucial!

When I was depressed the doc put me on Zoloff. It made me worse!
Good luck. Hope that dark cloud dissipates soon:)

I don't know about the Zoloft haters here, but the stuff has helped me tremendously!
Good luck and Happy Turkey Day!

Hi! Just stopped by from a comment in another journal.  Please go to my site and click on AgelessXtra.  I call it my "joy juice"!  It's all natural, not chemical, and tastes good, so fun to drink!  I also have my story about how I found it in my entry titled ... Year of Crisis, God, and Oasis!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Wishing you the Best!
