Planting the C. E. A. D. (Copyright Education Awareness & Development) Respecting artist's rights. I am a copyright compliant tagger. All tags created within my journal comply with the artist's Terms of Use (TOU). Within the tagging community a war is brewing between taggers and artists, due entirely to the lack of respect for artists work; everyday the list of free to use artists grows shorter and shorter as more artists move to protect their livelyhood from illegal and sometimes improper use. I understand how easy it is to be unaware of this issue as I used to post any and all graphics to my journal without a care or any thought about the word copyright. I have since changed my ways. It is my heartfelt desire to be a part of the solution and not part of the problem. When creating a tag, I ask myself one question...in making this tag and displaying it in public, am I infringing on the rights of another person? If the answer is yes, and even if I'm not 100% sure, I don't create the tag.

In the spirit of copyright awareness and cooperation, please remember having the ability to include tags in our journals can be fun, but it comes with responsibility. We all know it only takes one person to ruin the fun for everybody else. Spoiler alert...there are copyright violation patrols on the net. Have a care and be aware.
